Autograph Quilts & Luau!!!

June 24, 2007 at 10:24 am (Uncategorized)

This weekend was our homeschool groups End of Year Party.  We have been VERY blessed to be a part of a WONDERFUL homeschool group.  A lot of people make it great, but 3 ladies in particular put in a lot of hours to bless us all!  So as a thank you for our 3 fearless leaders I made them each a little Autograph Quilt.

Here are the 3 lovely ladies who lead our group!

Here is one of the quilts I made.  They are all them same. They are 30 inches X 30 inches and hang on the wall with velcro that is sewn across the top.

Here is a closeup of the fabric. It looks like a green chalkboard from days gone by. The black edging has a little white dusty look that reminded me of chalk on a blackboard.

Here is one of the quilts after it was signed by members of our group.

These were put out on a table at the party and everyone signed them with fine line Sharpie Markers.  I hope that these will find a special place to hang in their schoolrooms and they will be reminded of what a blessing they are each time they look at them.

Now for the Luau!

The delicious buffet catered by one of our members who is a professional chef!

Waterslide!!!

Kids filling water guns!

Dunk a Leader! $5.00 for 3 balls!  They made $100.00 for our group!

My 3 kiddos going down the BIG slide!

I wonder if she’s having fun?

Did I mention that these folks know how to throw a PARTY!!!!!
