Welcome to Freebie Fridays!

It is time for another free E-Book from the Schoolhouse Store!  This month we will be offering the E-Book: Math Mammoth Division 1.

Division 1: Divide, and Conquer the Concepts lays a good foundation in basic division, cementing the link between multiplication and division, and then solidly presents the concepts of remainder and divisibility. A good understanding with these helps the student later to understand factoring and long division.

The book provides plenty of practice and stresses understanding of concepts. This text is a self-teaching worktext to learn basic division concept after studying multiplication (in approximately third grade).

Now for another Math related freebie!  A Maths Dictionary for Kids from Rainforest Maths is an awesome, interactive Math resource.  Broken down alphabetically kids can click on a wide range of Math terms from abacus to zero!  Not only will they get a definition, but they also get a little demonstration of how the concept works!  Acre, binary system, co-efficient, dodecahedron… I could go through the whole alphabet, but you just have to check it out for yourself!

One last thing…Make sure not to miss out on the current special for The Old Schoolhouse Magazine.  Subscribe or renew by January 6, 2008 and you’ll get FIVE issues for the price of four. That’s right, get an extra issue to your one-year subscription for FREE. Just use coupon code FREEBIEPLUS4 in step two of the checkout to get an extra issue! The deadline is January 6, 2008.  Don’t miss this fabulous Winter issue. It’s a great way to start 2008!

I’ll see you next week right here at – Freebie Fridays!
